Car Paint Protection Film

Protect Your Paint Work

Paint Protection Film Installation

Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a thick thermoplastic urethane film that is applied to a vehicle's paintwork to protect against deep scratches, stone chips, abrasions, swirl marks, road debris and bird/bat droppings. Having your car protected in PPF means you can enjoy your car on road or track knowing your investment is protected from these contaminants which can ruin unprotected paintwork. Using Suntek's Ultra film range, combined with the highest attention to detail, we ensure a seamless finish where possible to protect the paintwork of your vehicle. All of our PPF packages are backed by our leading 10-year warranty, giving our clients the peace of mind they deserve.

How long does PPF Last?

Our Suntek Ultra film has a 10-year warranty on both the film and installation.

Do you use knives on the car to cut PPF?

Most of our PPF applications are computer designed templates which require no cutting or trimming on the vehicle. If there are certain panels where a template is not available, we use our years of experience to safely trim the PPF with no risk to your vehicle.

How do you clean PPF?

PPF is extremely easy to maintain, usually more so than the unprotected paint. The hydrophobic top coat means dirt and contaminants do not bond to the film, making them very easy to wash away with any car safe soap. The self-healing layer also means any light scratches or swirl marks will disappear with heat.

Do you polish the car before applying PPF?

We include a 1 stage polish with every PPF job we do to ensure the finish is the best it can be. This suits most vehicles up to 4-5 years old, after which additional polish may be needed.

Does PPF turn yellow?

Older PPF films were inferior to today’s products, with not enough UV protection to prevent yellowing, which could occur after as little as 2 years. Our Suntek Ultra film is protected against yellowing for 10-years thanks to its thick thermoplastic construction.

How much does PPF cost?

The price of PPF can vary depending on the car and coverage level. Full Front coverage typically costs between $2,100 and $2,500, depending on if black grilles/trims are required. Full PPF coverage is usually between $5,500-$7,500, this can vary if the coverage required includes trims, diffusers or grilles.

How does the self-healing work?

Paint Protection Film has a proprietary urethane top coat which has a memory effect that allows surface scratches to self-heal when exposed to heat – sun, warm water, heat-gun etc.

Can you see Paint Protection Film on a car?

Nope! The Suntek Film that we use has the highest optical clarity on the market, which means even on deep coloured cars (black or any dark colours), you can’t tell the difference between the protected and unprotected paint.

How do you remove PPF?

PPF removal is quite simple if done within the 10-12 year warranty period. Heat must be applied to the film to allow it to soften, and then can be removed by pulling at a sharp angle.

Every Car Deserves the Best Protection Around

Paint protection film helps to protect the cars from damage, scratches, and oxidation. Some of the advantages of installing Paint Protection Film are:

  • Paint Protection Film (PPF) is easy to apply and completely removable without having to reapply it. It also protects your clean car against chips, scratches, and oxidation.
  • PPF Films helps achieve a polished look for your vehicles. The high-gloss durability of the film gives your car a shiny, sleek, and polished look.
  • Car paint protection film, also known as car clear bra helps protect your vehicle from road rash, bugs, changes in climate conditions, and various chemicals.
  • Paint Protection Film aids in preserving your vehicle’s paint and prevents discolouration caused by the sun’s UV rays.
  • Installing paint protection film on your cars also helps increase their resale value. Your original car paint stays fresh and looks brand new if you initially invest in a protective film for your vehicle.
